Ann Silverman
Northeast Area Executive, Wilmington Trust, an M&T Bank company
As the Northeast Area Executive for Wilmington Trust, Ann is responsible for leading the regional managers and teams that provide Wealth Management advice and solutions to business owners, individuals, and families in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont. These integrated solutions include private banking, investment management, planning, and trust services. She is based in New York City.
Ann joined M&T Bank in 2004 as a commercial lender in Washington, D.C. During her tenure with M&T, which acquired Wilmington Trust in 2011, she participated in the organization’s international program and worked for Allied Irish Banks in Dublin, Ireland, from 2008-2010, as a corporate banker and team leader in the International Corporate Banking group within the Capital Markets division. From 2011-2022, Ann helped to build and eventually lead Wilmington Trust’s Wealth Management private banking team.
Earlier in her career, Ann spent seven years as a project manager and exhibition developer for the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian in New York and the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C.
Ann holds a master’s degree in finance from Wharton and a bachelor’s degree in history from Smith College. She serves on the Board of Trustees for Smith College, on the Board of Trustees for the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian, and on the Board of Trustees for the Museum of the City of New York.
