Rachel Ling, CFP®

Wealth Planning Analyst

As part of the Wilmington Trust Emerald Family Office & Advisory team, Rachel is responsible for supporting members of the Advanced Financial Planning team with the development of customized wealth management and financial plans for prominent individuals, families, and business owners throughout the country. She works closely with other professional and family advisors to analyze financial positions and assist in developing plans to help clients achieve future personal and financial goals.

Rachel has been in the financial services industry for six years, joining M&T Bank in 2015 as a financial planning software administrator/analyst for the MTS Financial Planning and Financial Advisor groups. In 2017, she transitioned into her current role within Wilmington Trust. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as a global service desk (IT) analyst for Yahoo!, Inc. in Lockport, NY, following a five-year contract as a business developer and farm manager for J&D Farms, LLC., a still thriving multi-operation start-up farm in Central New York.

Rachel holds a bachelor’s degree in fine art from CUNY Hunter College, and is a CFP® professional, having earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. She is a recipient of Wilmington Trust’s President’s Council award.

Rachel is an active member of the Financial Planning Association. She lives in Buffalo with her husband and two children, where she and her family enjoy frequenting museums, public gardens and parks, and supporting local institutions through memberships. She continues to practice in the arts through painting, multi-media collage, and jewelry crafting.
