Underwriting - The analysis of risk and setting of an appropriate rate and terms for a loan. An underwriter decides whether the lender should assume a particular risk. Unrealized Profits and Losses - Total profits and losses indicated when securities are market-to-market. Unsecured Loan - A loan that is not secured with collateral, but based on a borrower's credit history and financial strength. URLA - Uniform residential loan application. U.S. Treasury Bill - U.S. government debt with a maturity that is less than a year. U.S. Treasury Bond - U.S. government debt with a maturity of more than 10 years. U.S. Treasury Note - U.S. government debt with a maturity of one to 10 years. |
