Richard is responsible for managing the ongoing fiduciary needs of significant personal trust clients throughout the U.S. He helps to ensure that each trust is administered in accordance with its specific provisions and that the trust’s terms are carried out with prudent fiduciary oversight.
Richard has over two decades of experience in the legal services industry, specializing in estate planning, trust administration, long-term care planning, and special needs planning. Prior to joining Wilmington Trust in 2022, he worked in private practice for firms in Baltimore, Maryland for almost five years. Prior to becoming an attorney, he worked as a paralegal for 10 years in his practice areas.
He holds a Certificate in Estate Planning and a Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law and earned his bachelor’s degree in legal studies and gerontology from the University of Maryland Global Campus. He was admitted to the practice of law in 2017 and is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Bar Association of Baltimore City.
Richard is very active in several professional organizations, including the Maryland LGBT Chamber of Commerce, the Baltimore Provider Council, the Baltimore Estate Planning Council, and the LGBTQ Fund Advisory Committee of the Baltimore Community Foundation.
