Randy Vogel, CFA, CIPM

Head of Fixed Income

Randy directs a team of investment professionals including portfolio managers, credit analysts, and traders managing taxable and tax-exempt assets. He is responsible for the active management of institutional fixed income client relationships including pensions and endowments, community banking relationships, schools, hospitals, and state and local governments. Randy is also a voting member of the Investment Committee, which is responsible for deriving the firm’s strategic and tactical asset allocation positioning.

Previously, as the director of Taxable Research and senior portfolio manager, Randy was responsible for all investment-grade credit research for taxable fixed income, where he oversaw the credit review process. He was also responsible for the management of taxable fixed income portfolios, which included providing an analysis of trends in the credit markets and identifying relative value opportunities designed to help maximize performance and minimize risk across taxable fixed income portfolios. Randy rejoined Wilmington Trust in 2008 after spending two years with PNC Capital Advisors as a senior credit analyst covering the banks, brokerage, utility, and telecommunications industries.

He holds a master’s degree from Temple University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Delaware. He is a CFA® charterholder and a member of the Financial Analysts of Philadelphia. Randy also earned his Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM) designation in 2020.
