Wealth Market Manager
Mackey is responsible for managing Wilmington Trust’s Maryland Region, including all administrative and business development functions for personal trust, investment management, and private banking. In this role, he oversees the development and coordination of Wealth Management services and Outsourced Chief Investment Officer services for successful individuals, families, and middle market institutional investment accounts. Mackey and his team work closely with clients and their advisors to develop financial strategies that help clients meet their currentneeds and plan for their long-term objectives.
Mackey has more than three decades of experience helping clients with issues such as traditional and alternative investment management, risk management, custody, business succession, retirement planning, deferred compensation, and trust and estate planning. Prior to his current role, he served as managing director and segment leader for the endowments and foundations business line and was a managing member of Camden Partners, LLC, a Baltimore-based private equity firm.
Earlier in his career, Mackey spent 19 years with Deutsche Banc Alex Brown as the head of sales management and business development. He also served as co-head of sales; managing director and regional executive for Baltimore, Maryland and Los Angeles, California; and as managing director of Alex Brown Real Estate Group. He holds both a master’s and bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Mackey currently serves on the board of the Green Spring Valley Hunt Club, the Baltimore Museum of Art, and Gettysburg Seminary Endowment Foundation. He is a member of the Greater Baltimore/Washington Advisory Council as well as the Wealth Management Operating Committee.
