Donald P. DiCarlo

As a member of Wilmington Trust’s senior leadership team, Don is responsible for
overseeing the wealth planning and fiduciary business lines, which includes skilled professionals specializing in strategic planning, trust solutions and administration, and family office services. Don and his teams guide clients in the creation, implementation, and execution of complex financial,estate, and business succession plans.
A respected thought leader, Don was named a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) in 2019*, which is a highly selective group of peer-elected trust and estate attorneys in the U.S. and abroad. He has been an adjunct professor of law for over 20 years and lectures frequently at industry conferences, including the Heckerling Institute of Estate Planning.
Don's past experience includes the private practice of law and active-duty service as Judge Advocate in the United States Army. He earned his undergraduate degree from Villanova University and his law degree from New England Law, Boston. He holds a master of laws (LL.M.) degree in taxation from Temple University Beasley School of Law and a master of arts degree in moral theology from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary. Don also maintains his credential as a Certified Life Coach.
Don actively serves his community in a variety of ministries as an ordained deacon in the Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
