Ashvin Viswanathan, CFA
Senior Equity Portfolio Manager
Ash is a senior equity portfolio manager with extensive knowledge of quantitative research and portfolio management of U.S. and global equities. His experience with managing quantitative equity portfolios serves him well in his current role. Ash is also a key contributor to the firm's asset allocation factor framework.
With more than 17 years of industry experience, Ash joined Wilmington Trust from O’Shaughnessy Asset Management, where he was a principal and portfolio manager. During his seven-year tenure at O’Shaughnessy, Ash designed proprietary investment strategies and was a key contributor to building out the firm’s “factor library.” He also authored numerous research studies and papers, and routinely met and spoke with client and industry groups on behalf of the firm. Prior to that, Ash was an investment analyst at Zephyr Management, LP and was co-manager of the Zephyr Emerging Market Equity Fund. Earlier in his career, he was with Guardian Capital, LP in Toronto, where he was a senior portfolio engineer on the firm’s Global Equity team, leading quantitative research efforts and the development, testing, and implementation of investment models.
Ash holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario, and a master’s of mathematical finance from the University of Toronto. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation in 2010 and is a member of the CFA Society New York.
