Timothy E. Woolston
Senior Equity Portfolio Manager
Tim is a senior equity portfolio manager, overseeing the Capital Appreciation Strategy. He has extensive experience managing investment strategies for institutional and private clients, specializing in U.S. large-cap core equities.
Tim has over 30 years of investment industry experience. Previously, he was a member of the Equity Committee and manager of the Large-Cap Core Equity Strategy at People's United Advisors for four years before joining the Wilmington Trust team in 2022. Prior to that, he was a senior vice president and investment manager at Citizens Wealth Management, the private wealth arm of Citizens Financial Group, where he chaired the Equity Investment Committee and managed the firm’s Large-Cap Core Strategy. Earlier in his career, Tim served as a chief investment officer and a portfolio manager/principal, respectively, with registered investment advisors in the Boston area.
He holds an MBA from the University of Connecticut and earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from LeMoyne College. He also holds the FINRA Series 65 license.
Tim is an active member of his community, having served for several years as a board member of the local youth baseball organization, during which time the association was twice selected to host the Cal Ripken 12-year-old World Series, a national event. He also participates in recreational activities such as 5-K charity runs.
